We deliver throughout North Georgia, primarily
working with but not limited to grocery stores,
big box stores and restaurants.
Our Story
The original company began in 1957, Owner Herman Kirby sold cheese, crackers, and Pepperidge Farms to North Georgia. Morris McClure, then owner of the Triangle Grocery in Gainesville, Ga, bought the business from Herman Kirby in 1973. Morris renamed the company to Morris McClure Distributing Company AKA McClure’s. Morris parlayed his meat and dairy connections from his grocery days and expanded into selling prepackaged meat, frozen meats, Christmas candy, and select dry goods. In January of 2005, Bryce Elliott then owner of Deer Creek Distributors, Inc., bought the distributorship from Morris McClure. The company became Deer Creek Distributors, Inc. d/b/a Morris McClure Distributing Company. While the company has expanded its breath of products, McClure’s continues to purvey many of the same old timey country products as did Herman Kirby and Morris McClure.
In July of 2022, Jeff Farmer bought Deer Creek Distributors, Inc. d/b/a Morris McClure Distributing Company and continues to serve North Georgia with the same great products and customer service we all have become accustom too.
Our Delivery Area
We cover North Georgia from Canton to Athens, and from Lawrenceville to the northern state lines of Georgia.
